Scott MacDonald

Founder

Scott founded Ambergris after close to ten years working for the City of Bellevue, WA on art and planning projects. His experience as an arts administrator, including as the manager of Bellevue’s Arts & Culture program, project manager, urban designer, and urban planner allows him to see the intersection of art, community, built environment, and the planning process clearly and transfer that benefit to private, nonprofit and public clients. Scott received a Masters in Landscape Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design in 2011 where he focused on community building design, systems thinking and experiential perception. While there he started coordinating large art events and experiences which started him on his art journey. Prior to that he worked as a contractor providing design-build landscape and construction services for ten years.
